A team of Wolves veterans showed of their skills in the game against JJX Logistics Transport Service from Kingswinford in a bid to raise money for Legacy 4 Lucy.

Legacy 4 Lucy was set up by Jason Guy in memory of his wife Lucy who died aged 33, just four months after their wedding.

Jason said: "We're doing this today for Legacy 4 Lucy, I lost my wife in 2015 to triple negative breast cancer and to date we have raised £223,000, this is for a charity very close to my heart, Breast Cancer Now.

"We've got players from all eras from Wolverhampton Wanderers who are playing today and JJX Logisitics have kindly helped sponsor the game today and provided staff.

"This is going to be the first time in the Wolves Allstars history where we've been able to have a full team of outfield players who've played first team football for Wolves, in fact there's nearly 2,000 appearances between them all."

The Allstars' line-up included Seyi Olofinjana, Jody Craddock, Tony Dinning, Mel Eves and Michael Kightly.

Former midfielder, Karl Henry, also showed off his skills making his debut for the Wolves Allstars team.

Despite the grey skies, fans turned out in force to watch the match at Wednesfield Town Football Club on Sunday afternoon.

Jackie Foxall, 38 from Heath Town, said: "Getting the ex-Wolves players to come is a good way to raise money for a very worthy cause, cancer is something I think most people are affected by these days so it's good to be able to do our bit and donate."

A one-off game shirt which was signed by the entire squad was also auctioned on the day, with every penny being given to Breast Cancer Now.

Scratch cards, with the grand prize being a framed Wolves picture, were sold in the run up to the game as well as fresh samosas and donation buckets which were brimming with cash by the end of the game.

Donations have also been flooding in on Jason's JustGiving page with £7,408 raised online https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/jasonaimee2019
