He said: "It's lovely to be in Wolverhampton, it's my first time in the city and it's really cool to be here.

"I haven't seen too much of the city but it's nice to meet the local people, they've been very friendly and with Wolves doing so well and winning on Saturday there's a good atmosphere here.

"The event is always interesting, I see people come down the escalator and if they watched the show they say 'oh it's that guy from Raven', it's nice to see people who grew up watching the show.

"You get to meet real fans of the show, it's really cool.

"There's such a range of people at this event too, with Doctor Who and Game of Thrones, so I have to be careful not to fan boy myself too much.

"It helps bring people into the centre and it's something different, it's not what you expect when you come shopping - one guy told me he came to get some cling film from Poundland and he met the sixth doctor."
