The four-piece will headline the Hummingbird on North Street on Saturday as part of The Future Sound Project series, with four local acts providing the support.

Fellow Wulfrunians Broozer are also on the bill, while Telford's The Raiders, Birmingham band The Pines and MARC will also provide their sounds to the evening.

Crest Glider's debut EP, fittingly named Embark, was released last year in November, and the four-piece are looking forward to playing it to hometown fans for the first time this weekend.

Frontwoman Kelly Bird said: "We have been overwhelmed by the response to our debut EP Embark, especially at our release gig at The Victoria in Birmingham. We can’t wait to finally make our hometown debut at The Hummingbird.

“We’ve had a great 2018 - recording and releasing our EP, playing some great gigs along the way - but we are really looking forward to kicking off in 2019. We've got some exciting plans under way."

Crest Glider are Kelly on guitar, piano and vocals, Jon Collins also providing guitar, piano and vocals, bass player Sean Carroll and Scott Davies on drums.

Tickets to the Hummingbird show, priced at £6.60, are available via See Tickets. For more information on the show, check out the Facebook event page.
