Scottish rockers The Xcerts to play Wolverhampton gig
Scottish rock band The Xcerts will play Wolverhampton’s Slade Rooms later this year.

The gig in support of the band’s fourth album Hold on to Your Heart will take place on March 1. Lead singer Murray Macleod said of the group’s new LP: “We really did shoot for the stars with this one.”
He added that the tracks were inspired by a bad break-up, adding: “The songs are coming from a really bad place. I’d become a really empty human being – it felt like my wires were all lined-up perfectly and colour co-ordinated and as soon as my girlfriend and I broke up, it was like someone had yanked them all out.
“I couldn’t really relate to anyone, I was struggling to talk to people, I just couldn’t go out and face the world.
“Fundamentally I just felt completely worthless, I just didn’t know who I was and I didn’t really care about who I was either.”
Tickets costing £9.57 (£8.50 ticket plus a £1.07 service fee) are available from Midland Box Office by calling 0870 320 7000 or online at wolvescivic.co.uk.
