Auditions at the ICC in Birmingham

Auditions for the hit ITV show are due to take place at the city's Wulfrun Centre on August 25 from 12 noon to 4pm.

Under 16s must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.

There are three ways that people can be involved in the show.

You can audition in person, facing the judges and the production team head on to see if you have what it takes.

Another way is trying your luck via video, by uploading a clip online to see if you have what the judge’s are after.

Once you have completed your auditions, visit https://gottalent.fremantlemedia.com/ to complete an application form.

Finally, you can go the old fashioned route and audition by post – putting your performance on a DVD or memory stick and sending it in.

The deadline for submitting online applications is December 31 2017.

The first round of live auditions begin filming in late March with the series starting to air in mid-April.

The winner’s of Britain’s Got Talent secures the opportunity to perform in front of the Royal family at the Royal Variety Performance.

For the past five years the winner has also won a prize fund of £250,000.
