Walsall's Light Cinema ready to reopen after lockdown
A popular Black Country cinema has revealed its plans for reopening after months of closure due to coronavirus.
The Light Cinema in Walsall has announced it will reopen to the public on Friday, August 21, having been closed since March due to lockdown restrictions.
The cinema has worked to ensure all measures have been taken to ensure social distancing is maintained and visitors and staff can stay safe while in the cinema.
These include online booking and cashless payment only, an amended auditoria to ensure space between groups, regular cleaning regimes and sanitiser stations and traffic flow systems.
The cinema will also have clear signage to provide guidance for all visitors and staff have completed extra training on the new health and safety measures.
A wide range of films will also be on offer, including Christopher Nolan's Tenet, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Inception and Trolls World Tour.
Light Cinema CEO James Morris said he was excited to be able to welcome people back and reassured cinema-goers about the health and safety work they had done at the cinema.
