Ben James-Ellis will play the part of Jack when the show comes to Wolverhampton's Grand Theatre in December. In 2007, the 23-year-old reached the semi-finals of the BBC show Any Dream Will Do – Andrew Lloyd Webber's search for Joseph.
He said: "I am very excited. I've never played the part before. I love playing the good guy."
