From musical West End classics to spooky stage thrillers and Shakesperean dramas, the new season at Wolverhampton's Grand Theatre has been unveiled – and it has something for everyone.

Musical heavyweights Cats and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will headline the programme, which was unveiled by theatre bosses today. Tickets for all the new shows go on sale later this month.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's West End and Broadway classic Cats returns to the Grand for the first time in more than 10 years and will run from March 19 to 30 next year. Disco musical Daddy Cool, starring Loose Women's Jane McDonald and Three Degrees singer Sheila Ferguson, is being performed from October 22 to 27.

Meanwhile, spooky thriller Haunting Julia, starring Duncan Preston from TV show Dinnerladies, is on at the theatre from October 15 to 20.

Inspired by classic comedy Some Like It Hot and William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, Some Like It Hip Hop is a comical tale of love and mistaken identity. It is being performed for two nights only, November 20 and 21.

A show likely to be a hit with families is Angelina Ballerina The Mousical, which will run at the Lichfield Street theatre from November 22 to 24.

Family favourite Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, another Lloyd Webber classic, is at the Grand from February 12 to 16. A star cast is expected to be announced soon.

A new production of comedy High Society arrives from February 26 to March 2.

The West End production of The Ladykillers, adapted by Father Ted and IT Crowd writer Graham Linehan, will stop off at the Grand from January 28 to February 2.
