Youngsters from Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts (PQA) in Lichfield were invited to sing at The Prince of Wales Theatre alongside the professional singers.

The Opera Boys are a small team of some of the country's finest classical tenors and embers of the group have played lead roles in the West End and Broadway - performing more than 1,000 concerts worldwide.

The PQA students joined them for musical numbers including This is Me, A Million Dreams, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions, Close Every Door To Me and Any Dream Will do.

Phebe Jackson , principal at PQA Lichfield, said: "The whole evening was amazing. The students were so professional, with so many of them never performing on a stage before.

"I am so proud of what our students have achieved. To stand in front of an audience for the very first time and sing with such confidence was incredible."
