Public speaking workshops to take place at Wolverhampton Grand
Wolverhampton Grand Theatre is helping people to get over stage fright when public speaking in new workshops.
Two public speaking workshops in March will teach tips and tricks to 'feel more confident, banish nerves and deliver presentations with impact'.
Professional actor and transatlantic public speaking coach Lanna Joffrey will lead the sessions.
Topics covered include overcoming nerves, breathing techniques, speaking clearly and voice projection, body language and speech structure and organisation.
Attendees will have the opportunity to put their skills into practice during the workshop.
Charlotte Davies, development manager at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre, said: “Public speaking is one of the most important and useful skills to have.
"Almost everyone will need to speak in public at some point in their life and in all kinds of situations e.g. weddings, interviews, college, university and job presentations.
“You can spend hours writing the perfect speech, but if it isn’t delivered right it can fall flat and all your good work has gone to waste.
“On the other hand, a well delivered speech can inform, inspire and motivate. It can even change the world.
“Our Public Speaking with Confidence workshops will be a chance to develop this vital skill in a relaxed and constructive environment.”
The Public Speaking with Confidence Workshop will take place on March 5 and 6.
