Hush Hush, directed by Samuel Turner in 2018 is the story unlucky Gav who meets the girl of his dreams but she has a dark secret.

The charitable event on Monday raised £230 last year for the Sophie Lancaster foundation and organisers say this year’s event is on track to be a greater success.

A representative for the festival said: “Hush Hush is one of eight films we’ll be showing. It’s a great little comedy tackling the subject of transitional gender in a very Edgar Wright inspired film maker.

"This year is already bigger and better with the mayor in attendance and so far we have already surpassed last years funds at £361.

“We were hoping to reach £500 with this show from walk in ticket sales and merchandise sales.

"The dances this year really are superb, especially the Clockwork Orange performance which is very edgy.”

All of the proceeds going to Crisis UK.
