Arthur Price has donated environmentally friendly cutlery to children who are picked to participate in Wolverhampton Grand Theatre's pantomime Sleeping Beauty which runs from December 8 to January 13.

Three and four children are chosen at random to participate in the song sheet at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre and this year, youngsters will receive a Bambino child's dining set made purely from bamboo.

Simon Price, CEO of Arthur Price, said: “This range will add lots of colour to any dinner table and we believe will encourage children to use cutlery during meal times.

"All the pieces and packaging are eco-friendly in line with growing customer expectations, and we are delighted with this in-vogue range.

"We are delighted to support the theatre once again with their vision to promote sustainability.”

The Bambino range consists of a colourful plate, bowl, mug, knife and fork set and is aimed at children aged between four and eight.

The set is made from bamboo fibre, which is more durable than wood and is heat and stain resistant.

Bamboo is one of the fastest-growing plants in the world, along with being an endlessly renewable resource.

Wolverhampton Grand Theatre has previously committed itself to becoming plastic-free by 2022.

CEO and artistic director Adrian Jackson previously said: “As a company we will do everything we can to reduce non-recyclable products used within the building.

“There is also a lot we can do within our infrastructure to not only help the environment but also reduce our costs.”
