Antony Costa to play Stacee Jaxx in Rock of Ages at Wolverhampton Grand
Antony Costa will join the Rock of Ages cast as Stacee Jaxx at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre.
The former Blue singer's previous theatre credits include the role of Mickey Johnson in the West End production of Blood Brothers and the UK tour of Save The Last Dance For Me. Most recently he played the role of Roger Meadows in the UK tour of A Judgement in Stone.
Set in LA and featuring songs such as We Built This City, Can’t Fight This Feeling and The Final Countdown, Costa will be performing in the show with a live band.
Among the cast are Kevin Kennedy as Dennis, Zoe Birkett as Justice as well as Luke Walsh and Lucas Rush as Drew and Lonny respectively.
Stacee Jaxx, played by Tom Cruise in the 2012 film adaptation, is a charismatic rock star in the musical love story and Costa will be taking on the role for the Grand Theatre run, following in the footsteps of Strictly Come Dancing's Kevin Clifton.
Rock of Ages will be at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre from May 28 to June 1.
