Rehearsals begin for Kinky Boots at Wolverhampton Grand - with pictures
The cast of Kinky Boots has strutted into Wolverhampton as rehearsals begin ahead of the Grand Theatre run.
The multi-award winning musicals comes to the Lichfield Street theatre from October 16 to 27, before heading to Birmingham Hippodrome from March 11 to 23.
Press and PR Manager at the Grand Theatre, Scott Bird, said: “Wolverhampton Grand Theatre is the second venue of a year-long tour for Kinky Boots, so it’s hugely exciting to be the first city outside of the story’s native Northampton to stage the touring production".
The award-winning production, with songs by Grammy and Tony winning pop icon Cyndi Lauper, stars former Coronation Street actress Paula Lane who is known for playing Kylie Platt in the soap but will be Lauren in the show.
She will be joined by Staffordshire singer and actress, and former X Factor contestant Niki Evans who finished fourth on the fourth series of the show in 2007.

Other cast members include Callum Francis who will be putting on the boots to play Lola following his award winning and critically acclaimed performances in Australia. Plus West End star Joel Harper-Jackson will play Charlie.
Inspired by true events, the musical tells the story of Charlie Price, a young boy struggling to live up to his father's expectation and continue the family business of Price and Son.
With the shoe factory's future hanging in the balance, help arrives in the unlikely but spectacular form of a fabulous performer in need of some study new stilettos called Lola.
The show is a winner of every major Best Musical award and is being directed and choreographed by two-time Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell for Legally Blonde and Hairspray, and produced by Daryl Roth and and Hal Luftig and Playful Productions, in association with Cameron Mackintosh.
