West End star Oliver Ormson to appear in Wolverhampton Grand panto

West End star Oliver Ormson will play the Prince in this year's pantomime, Sleeping Beauty, at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre.

He will join the likes of Debbie McGee, Richard Cadell and Sooty, Ian Adams and Doreen Tipton as part of the production, which comes to the Lichfield Street theatre this December.

Musical Theatre actor Oliver was most recently seen at Wolverhampton Grand playing Lucas Beineke in The Addams Family musical last year.

In the West End, Oliver understudied and played the part of Elder Price in The Book Of Mormon at the Prince Of Wales Theatre. His other credits include Link Larkin in Hairspray and Bernardo in West Side Story with the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Previous pantomime credits include Prince Charming in Cinderella at Lichfield Garrick Theatre.

Oliver also has a popular YouTube channel which has amassed more than 18,000 subscribers.

Grand Theatre chief executive and artistic director, Adrian Jackson, said: “it’s a pleasure to have Oliver join our pantomime cast.

"I worked with Oliver a few years ago in pantomime and I’m delighted that he is now joining our company at the Grand.

"A popular member of The Addams Family tour last year, he’s in great voice and we’ll make sure he has some great songs to sing during our festive production".

Sleeping Beauty comes to Wolverhampton Grand Theatre from December 8 to January 13.
