Hayley Tamaddon to appear in Thoroughly Modern Millie at Wolverhampton's Grand Theatre

Hayley Tamaddon has been announced as part of the cast for Thoroughly Modern Millie - heading to Wolverhampton's Grand Theatre this summer.

The Blackpool-born actress is best known for her roles as Del Dingle in Emmerdale and Andrea Beckett in Coronation Street.

Her other TV credits include shows such as Accused, Waterloo Road, Where the Heart is and The Royal.

She also won the fifth series of ITV's Dancing On Ice.

Hayley will take on the title role of Millie Dilmount, alongside Lucas Rush as Mrs Meers.

Lucas appeared as Meers on the 2017 tour of the show which appeared at Birmingham's New Alexandra Theatre.

The cast is completed by Michael Colbourne, Richard Meek, Nicola Blackman, Lisa Bridge, Guy Salim, Patrick Jeremy, Natalie Spriggs, Laura Ellis, Annie Guy, Emma Lloyd, Millie O'Connell, Patrick George, Scott Norton, and Tom Summers.

The play is based on the Academy Award-winning film starring Julie Andrews and takes the crowd back to the height of the Jazz Age in New York City.

Thoroughly Modern Millie comes to Wolverhampton's Grand Theatre from June 26 to 30.
