Grand Theatre booth named after Beverley Knight

Wolves have sponsored the Beverley Knight booth, which was named by the public and is based in the theatre's refurbished Dress Circle.

The two-year sponsorship deal is the latest stage in the relationship between the Wolves and the Grand, which includes membership of the Grand Business Club.

Adrian Jackson, the Grand's chief executive, said: “We see this deal as a match made in heaven.

"Beverley Knight is one of the biggest talents to come out of Wolverhampton and a huge Wolves fan.

"As a city, we are proud to call her our own and that is reflected by the public’s decision to name a booth after her.

“There are lots of similarities between the Wolves and the Grand.

"We are both household names in the city and our main purpose is to entertain – at the Grand it’s on the stage and at the Molineux it’s on the pitch.

“We provide escapism for thousands of people and the importance of this should not be underestimated – everybody needs to be entertained from time to time.

“We look forward to developing closer ties with the Wolves in the future”.

Kerri Davies, Wolves membership manager, added: “As a football club, Wolves are always keen to forge positive relationships with other major local companies and institutions.

“Over recent years, we have been delighted to have built up really close, working links with the Grand Theatre, to the benefit of our staff and supporters.

“Like Wolves, the Grand is a long-established and well-recognised feature of Wolverhampton, and is a source of great civic pride among the city’s residents.

“We are delighted to have agreed an even closer partnership, and hope that our link-up continues to go from strength to strength.

“It is even more special that we are sponsoring the Beverley Knight booth as well.

“Beverley has always been a really loyal and enthusiastic Wolves supporter, and we always love to see her back at Molineux when her time commitments allow.

“Being associated with her name at the Grand is something that everyone at Wolves will be very proud of."

There are five booths available for private hire on performance days at the Grand Theatre, each named by the public – Beverley Knight, Phipps (after the theatre’s architect), Deitrich, Churchill, and Gatsby.
