The circus is at Shugborough hall until Sunday, before it will move on and tour the rest of the country and Europe.

This latest production is based on the Russian folklore story of 'the flower with seven colours'.

Presented by Wizard Wacko and his side kick, Natalia Mezentceva, the show features the award winning Troupe Leontiv on flying parallel bars, the Moscow Flying Jugglers and performers on the horizontal bouncing Russian bar in an evening of juggling, wire walking and roller-skating.

Shugborough Hall is run by the county council, who said they are 'delighted' to have the 'must-see' circus back in Staffordshire.

Mark Winnington, Staffordshire County Council's cabinet member for the economy, said: "The Moscow State Circus is one of the most well-known shows on the circuit and we are delighted to be able to welcome it back to Staffordshire.

"It's another must-see event in the exciting Shugborough calendar for 2016 and one for the whole family to join in. I would encourage people to get their tickets early and get into the circus mood."

This is the show's first-ever European tour and is presented in a state of the art air-conditioned big top.

The circus has been coming to the West Midlands and Staffordshire for years.

Last year the circus was held on Merry Hill shopping centre's car park as thousands flocked to watch the performers in action.

After Shugborough, the circus is off to Bath and then Worcester. Other venues include Swansea, Rochester and Clapham Common.

Tickets range from £15 to £27, depending on seating and time.
