'It looks fantastic': Thousands turn out for first look at town's revived, renovated Market Square
Thousands of shoppers turned up to celebrate the reopening of a popular Market Square which was closed for a major renovation.
Residents and businesses were invited to enjoy a day of music, dance and street performances on Saturday to help celebrate the reopening of Stafford's Market Square.
The event, which saw thousands of people take to the streets of the new-look square, saw the leader of Stafford Borough Council, Councillor Aidan Godfrey, cut the ribbon marking the completion of the gargantuan project.
The celebration events included a large range of street foods, drinks, free entertainment and plenty of market stalls.
Jack Williams-Hughes, 30, from Stafford, said: "It's fantastic, It really does look good. It's much better than it was before and I'm just glad it's finished.
