Maria Credali, from Lichfield will be taking part in the Worldstorytellingcafe.com an online storytelling festival, created by Lucie Andersen-Wood, and Mike Wood owners of a hotel in Marrakech.

They’ve launched the new website after coronavirus caused the hotels to close and in anticipation of a storytelling museum that the couple is constructing in Marrakech.

Tales being broadcast daily, operating on a pay-what-you-can-afford basis.

Mike said: “There is a great solidarity on the global festival circuit and we quickly found we were being inundated with applications from esteemed tellers around the world. We already have talent from the UK, USA, Romania, Iceland and Australia as well as Morocco signed up. It really is the best storytelling festival of the year.”

It is hoped that by inviting viewers to donate what they can afford the site will ultimately create a viable income for the tellers.

Everything put in the storyteller’s hat goes directly to them.
