San Francisco rockers Decent Criminal have announced a European tour including just three dates in the UK - one being in Stafford supporting Murderburgers at Redrum.

With a sound reminiscent of ‘90s alternative, punk, surf, and power-pop, Decent Criminal offer "catchy, upbeat songs" that "mercilessly collide with abrasive and often melancholy undertones", according to a spokesperson.

They formed when in 2014, brothers Hunter and Tristan Martinez took what was already an active touring band and rebuilt it from the ground up. This gave the band a new sound and set of players.

The Bay Area four-piece are heading across the Atlantic following a pair of hometown shows to whet their appetites, and the whole tour is to celebrate signing with two new record labels – Wiretap Records in their homeland and and Bearded Punk Records in Europe.

Bearded Punk will be handling the release of their upcoming album due out in June on these shores. It will be their first full-length release since the album Bloom arrived in 2017.

They made news last year when various websites reported on a vinyl pressing error in which their music was mistakenly pressed onto copies of Kendrick Lamar's second album Good Kid, M.A.A.D City.

The show in support of Murderburgers is at Stafford's Redrum, on Crabbery Street, on May 24 from 7.30pm. Tickets, costing £6.60, can be bought here.
