Alton Towers warns bargain hunters over bogus ticket offer
Alton Towers thrill-seekers are being warned of discounted tickets being sold by a bogus website.
Website ukgroupdeals is offering a park ticket and fast-track combination for £21.20, a supposed saving of £31.80 – 60 per cent.
The website claims more than 2,400 people have already bought the tickets from the website, but Alton Towers has categorically stated that the tickets are a scam and not affiliated with the Staffordshire theme park.
A spokesman said on Twitter: "We're aware of this scam circulating the web on 'ukgroupdeals'. This is NOT official or affiliated with Alton Towers Resort in any way."
