British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has headed along to watch the world darts championship in London.
The Suffolk-based star, 33, was with more than 3,500 darts fans at Alexandra Palace to see if Stephen Burton or Alexander Merkx won during day six of the Paddy Power World Darts Championship.
Merkx triumphed over Burton on Friday, before more games took place.
Sheeran, a minority owner of Ipswich Town football club, has regularly been seen at sporting events.
He was pictured at the darts on Friday wearing a baseball cap emblazoned with the logo for his hot sauce range Tingly Ted’s, and a multi-coloured fluffy jacket.
Last month he gatecrashed Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim’s Sky Sports interview at Ipswich’s grounds.
The Shape Of You singer walked into the shot and spoke to pundit and former footballer Jamie Redknapp, who was interviewing newly appointed coach Amorim.
Sheeran said he had not realised, and apologised, saying he was just “popping to say hi and bye to Jamie”.
The singer had watched his home team draw 1-1 with the Red Devils at Portman Road in November after Ipswich were promoted.
Sheeran has sponsored the team’s shirts for the men’s and women’s teams since 2021, before acquiring a minority stake in the club in August.
The singer, who goes on tour next year, stopping in Bhutan for his Asia leg in January, has had seven UK number one albums including his latest in 2023, Autumn Variations.
Last year, he won a special Brit Billion Award as he had become the first British artist to surpass 10 billion streams in the UK.
He has collaborated with Sir Elton John, Taylor Swift, Eminem, Stormzy and Cardi B.
