Jason Donovan tells fans: Don’t be offended if I seem reserved
Jason thanked his fans for their support.
Jason Donovan has asked fans not to be “offended” if he can not speak to them before his shows, explaining that he has been advised to “protect and completely rest” his voice.
The former Neighbours star, 49, is currently on his Amazing Midlife Crisis Tour, which he had to postpone last year after problems with straining his voice.
He posted a message on Twitter thanking fans for their support and explaining why he may not be able to speak to everyone who stands by the stage door hoping for a glimpse of him.
Donovan said: “Firstly I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the incredible amount of love and support that you’ve shown me so far on the AMLC Tour.
“The reception has been so positive and warm and means a huge amount to me, especially as this is something I haven’t done before and is a completely different format for me.
“I also want to thank those of you who come to say hello at the stage door at the start and end of each show, as much as I’d love to take time and speak to all of you at each venue, due to my recent voice issues, I have been advised by my consultant to protect and completely rest my voice before and after each show.
“Basically my priority here is the show itself so please don’t be offended if I seem reserved. I’m just trying to look after myself to ensure the upmost fitness for each and every show.”
He ended the post by sating: “Take care and see you on the road. JD X.”
