Mel Giedroyc joins Children In Need presenter line-up

She will join the star-studded team of hosts for the charity evening.

Mel Giedroyc will join Graham Norton, Tess Daly, Ade Adepitan and Rochelle and Marvin Humes in presenting BBC Children in Need’s 2017 appeal show next month.

The fundraising evening will feature a star-studded line-up to raise money for disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

Giedroyc, who is hosting the appeal show for the first time, said: “Tess. Ade. Graham. Rochelle. Marvin. The Power Rangers of the presenting world.

“I feel honoured to be joining their ranks and bagsy wear the blue all-in-one body stocking slash helmet combo.”

Strictly Come Dancing star Daly, who is a veteran of the broadcast, said she loves “the adrenaline rush” of presenting Children In Need.

“The charity has been an incredible force for good in the UK, helping some of the most vulnerable people when they most need it. To be asked to play a part in helping these people is a real honour.

Announcements about the performances, sketches and content of the show will be made in due course.

BBC Children In Need will air on BBC One on November 17.
