EastEnders Linda and Mick back together – but for how long?

Viewers of the soap hoped their truce would not be short-lived.

EastEnders’ Mick Carter found himself in the doghouse in tonight’s episode when wife Linda found out about his close relationship with Whitney.

Mick (Danny Dyer) has kissed ex-daughter-in-law Whitney (Shona McGarty) in the past, but when he felt that he was getting a little too close to her, he begged Linda to return from an extended stay at her mother’s and explained that he had nearly strayed.

Linda’s (Kellie Bright) reaction was to kick her husband out of their home at the Queen Vic pub, but viewers were desperate to see the pair get their marriage back on track.

One fan complained: “Why didn’t they just leave Mick and Linda to be happy.”

Someone else added: “Please don’t do this to us any more. They need each other.”

However, when Mick promised never to see Whitney again at the end of the episode, fans did not believe that he would honour his vow.

One person tweeted: “No way is Mick keeping that promise”, while another added: “Don’t believe Mick’s promise for a minute!”.

As Mick gulped and looked shifty while promising to stay away from Whitney, viewers may see more of the love triangle in future episodes.

:: EastEnders continues on Friday on BBC One at 8pm.
