Lisa Fowler makes a shock return to EastEnders after prom drama
After 15 years away, Lisa ran to her daughter’s side.
EastEnders viewers were met with an unexpected face on Friday night as Lisa Fowler made a surprise return to Albert Square.
Lucy Benjamin’s character appeared as she rushed to her daughter Louise’s side in hospital following her dramatic incident at the prom.
Her big entrance on the BBC soap comes 15 years after she fled following her explosive fall-out with the Mitchell family, when it was revealed that she was the one who shot Phil.
Writers have hinted that there will be “fireworks when the former flames come face-to-face” as Lisa continues her on-screen stint for the next few weeks.
Benjamin, 47, commented: “It was great to be back at EastEnders as it has been such a long time since I had been there.
“I loved being back in Elstree (studio) for the few weeks I was there, seeing old friends again and working with really talented people. I loved every minute of it.”
