Coronation Street’s Platt family will be marking the anniversary of Kylie’s death in dramatic fashion when her killer’s mum returns to Weatherfield.

To mark a year since David (Jack P Shepherd) lost his beloved wife Kylie (Paula Lane), the Platts gather together for a picnic in the garden to remember her life.

But when their dog makes a break for freedom and David runs after the pooch, he is shocked to stumble across Shona Ramsey (Julia Goulding) moving back in to Billy Mayhew’s (Daniel Brocklebank) house.

However, the row escalates when his sister Sarah (Tina O’Brien) admits that she knew Shona was back in town – viewers will see her spotting Shona at the drop-in centre in an earlier episode.

Sarah is battling to build a case against abuser Nathan Curtis (Chris Harper), who exploited and tried to kidnap her teenage daughter Bethany (Lucy Fallon) and who had previously groomed Shona in the same way.
