Andy Murray is ‘very happy’ about becoming a father again
The tennis pro said he and his wife are looking forward to the new arrival.
Tennis star Sir Andy Murray has said he is “very happy” to be expecting his second child with wife Kim.
The 2016 Wimbledon victor lay rumours to rest as he confirmed the news during a press conference for this year’s championships on Sunday.
He told reporters: “We’re both obviously very happy and looking forward to it.”
On Monday, Sir Andy will take to the Centre Court to play Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik.
After pulling out of two warm-up matched earlier in the week due to ongoing hip problems, he assured fans that he will be “fine to play” in the big event.
Asked if the excitement of his new child would affect his performance, he said “No, I wouldn’t have thought so,” and admitted that the family had known of the news for some time.
