Singer Becky Hill will show off her rock star style when the Midland student takes to the stage in tonight's live screening of BBC show The Voice.

Becky, from Bewdley, was remaining tight-lipped on her song but said she chose it herself, and celebrity coach Jessie J fully supported the decision.

She said: "It's a song I've had on my iPod for years and years, and it is by a band I really like. I just wanted to do something very different from my last performance, and I hope I have put my own stamp on it."

Two weeks ago Becky wowed TV audiences with her rendition of Basement Jaxx's dance tune, Good Luck, and last week she joined fellow contestants and Jessie J, when they sang Jamiroquai's Canned Heat.

The 18-year-old says her time on The Voice has been a whirlwind. She said:?"I have just been running about all over the place. I have been rehearsing really hard, and practising constantly and fitting in interviews and photographs where I can. It's hard work, but I'm just very focused on my performance."

But Becky has had little time to contact loved ones back home. She said: "I haven't had that much time to talk to people at home. I know everyone at home supports me though, I have been overwhelmed by the support."

The Voice is on BBC1 at 6.30pm.
