New Year's Eve can be about the raves and club nights for some - but for others, it's spending time with the ones you love, dancing and laughing, maybe enjoying some bubbles and a buffet...
There are loads of brilliant family events - and more classy affairs - going on all across Wolverhampton and the Black Country, from discos and karaoke nights to gigs and finger-food feasts.
Here is a roundup of some of the events going on in and around the Black Country on Tuesday, December 31 for New Year's Eve.
Wolverhampton
Family New Year's Eve party - Dangerous Sheep events
Where: Perton Civic Centre, Church Rd, Perton, Wolverhampton WV6 7PD
When: Doors Open 7.30pm / DJ 8pm / Buffet 9pm
Guests to Perton Civic Centre on New Year's Eve can expect a party DJ playing hits from the 60s until now, a bar, buffet and dedicated kids room full of crafts, games and a karaoke machine.
Entry is only permitted with an advance ticket, the venue is not offering a 'pay on the door' system. Tickets cost £15 per adult, £7.50 per child aged 5-17, and free for under-fives.

Park Hall Hotel Family Party
Where: Park Dr, Wolverhampton WV4 5AJ
When: 6.30pm - 1.30am
If you're looking for a glamorous start to the new year, Park Hall Hotel is hosting a 'dress to impress' family New Year's Eve party with plenty of food, drinks and dancing.

Sandwell
The Bear Tavern - The Ceilidh band upstairs, with free DJ night downstairs
Where: The Bear, 498-500 Bearwood Road, Smethwick, B66 4BX
When: The Ceilidh Band - 8pm
A special New Year's Eve performance by the lively and traditional Ceilidh Band. A ticketed family event is being held in the upstairs function room of The Bear Tavern, with proceeds going to the Warley Woods Community Trust.
Downstairs is a free DJ night inviting people of all ages until 9pm, and over-18s past 9pm.

The Gospel Oak - Family Party, limited tickets

Toast to the New Year at The Gospel Oak in Tipton. On New Year’s Eve, families are invited to celebrate a Night at the Movies - dress up as your favourite film character and enjoy the celebrations.

New Year's Eve Family Party - Limited availability
Where: Hill Top, West Bromwich
When: 6pm onwards
A family New Year's extravaganza will be taking place in Hill Top, where there will be a welcome drink, kids' animations and entertainment, a buffet dinner, live saxophone and DJ music, and champagne at midnight.

Pedmore Cricket Club - Family Party
