The fifth annual Proms in the Park event, held at the grounds of Haden Hall House Museum saw punters young and old enjoy a relaxed afternoon of live jazz music.

The event kicked off at 2pm with Martinique Jazz and finishes around 6pm with the rousing sound of Halesowen Brass Band and lots of flag waving.

The show replicates the annual Last Night of The Proms on a smaller scale, whilst giving people the chance to take a look around Haden Hall.

Union Jack flags were flying proudly while crowds were kept entertained by the live music.

Alison Hyatt, visitor services officer at the house, said: "This is a wonderful event to hold every year, it is such a relaxed day, everyone can enjoy some nice chilled out jazz and we get a great mix of old and young.

"Today we haven't had the best of luck with the weather but in true British spirit we will still enjoy ourselves.

"The musicians we have brought in are fantastic and I think the event is getting better every year."

The event co-insides with national Heritage Open Days, which aim to celebrate and showcase England’s heritage across the country.
