Hundreds turned out for the event at the Gough Arms pub in West Bromwich, which has grown bigger by the year.

Entertainment included bouncy castles, trampolining and face painting - with this year's event raising £1,145 for Birmingham Children's Hospital.

The charity day has become a regular event and was the sixth time it had been held at the pub.

More than £10,000 has been raised over the years for the hospital, which provides ongoing care for Kelly Wiggetts-Clinton's son Cruze, aged seven, who was diagnosed with two holes in his heart when he was 18 months old.

Kelly, from West Bromwich, said: "It has been amazing day. The support this year has been overwhelming. It gets bigger and bigger every year.

"It has escalated. It started off the first year with a little cake bake stall and a couple of other little things.

"I want to say a massive thanks to my friends and family, I couldn't put it on without them, and also to the Gough Arms. There is new management this year and they had no idea who I was so I appreciate all the help from them."

Kelly added: "We do it to say thank you to the hospital. Cruze is fine but they need to check up on him and keep and extra eye on him."
