The punk legend, now 72, will play at the Robin 2 in Mount Pleasant Street, Bilston on November 25 as part of a tour to support his latest album, Moments of Madness.

Cornwell fronted The Stranglers from 1972 to 1990, during which time the band had hits with No More Heroes, Peaches and Golden Brown, which reached No. 2 in 1982.

Songs on Cornwell's new album will tackle subjects including ageing, the bewildering trend for tattoos and how the throwaway society is blighting the country with litter.
