Wolverhampton's Sophielou lends vocal talents to new track
Wolverhampton's queen of R'n'B Sophielou has leant her vocal talents to a new single.
The song 2AM is produced by CXRTIS and NibzMusic with Sophielou providing the vocals and came out on August 28.
She said: "This is one of the most exciting tracks I've featured on so far in my career and I have high hopes for it being received well.

"2AM definitely has a place in the UK scene and the fusion of two sounds will allow so many different audiences to come together and enjoy the track. It’s one of those you want to sing your heart out to but can’t keep still to at the same time."
A spokesperson said of the track: "It sees two very different musical moods meet in such an exciting way. Picture the dark 808s and hard-hitting drum patterns in UK drill alongside soothing R'n'B chords, creating this high energy yet soulful track."
CXRTIS, also based in the Midlands, was formally known as CRT and was introduced to Derby-based producer/DJ NibzMusic in 2015 via music sharing website Soundcloud. After becoming fans of each other's sounds, they linked up in 2016 and have been working together since.
2AM is their latest venture, and includes the talents of former Star Unsigned featured act Sophielou, who’s been consistently making music with CXRTIS since 2011.
Last year saw Sophielou drop her debut album SoulSearch to much fanfare which was followed by two self-organised headline shows at the Newhampton Arts Centre on Dunkley Street and at The Sunflower Lounge in Birmingham.
She has previously had tracks spun on Radio 1XTRA, alongside being placed in Spotify editorial playlists and being nominated for the KA Get Rated Award in 2018.
The trio collectively said 2AM was "produced to make a statement, create a new wave and to provide that 'feel good vibe'".
