Q in the Park is back but this year in Stafford town centre as Victoria Park is being revamped.

Established in 2011, Q in the Park is one of the longest-running free family festivals in the area, drawing thousands of visitors each year.

There will be a line up of live music, Stafford FM Roadshow and presenter Ian Keeley, street food, mobile bars, performances by local groups The Ezys, Neil Mason, Pretenders tribute by Phoenix of Stone and My Stage Academy, demonstrations and fairground rides with mascots including Paw Patrol and North Staffs Storm-troopers.

Organiser Lorraine Conkey said: "Every year around 4,000 people headed to V Festival from Stafford train station, so in 2011 Q in the Park was run to provide a day of entertainment for them.

"After the success of 2011's event, entertaining over 3,000 festival-goers heading to V we than morphed into a weekend event for the local community as the V Festival decreased and Q has now become a fantastic family event over the last nine years.

"There is a great selection of live music, displays and demonstrations, great food, lots of retail therapy. Last year due to the renovation of the park we moved the event to Stafford Cricket Club Riverway Stafford and now we are in Stafford town centre in 2020.

"It's free entry and everyone is welcome. We will be championing Stafford & District Bereavement & Loss Support Service, please give generously at their stand.

"Adhering to Covid-secure measures, similar to those of Stafford Walking Street Market, signing in for track and trace and wearing masks, with exceptions for under 11 year olds and those with health issues and of course while you are eating and drinking.

"We have worked with Staffordshire Police, fire service and Stafford Borough Council to bring a Covid-secure environment on the day so we can all enjoy but safely.”

The event will open at 11am until 6pm.
