James Levett took on a 36-hour broadcast challenge in 2017.

James Levett, who hosts a show on 101.8 WCR FM in Wolverhampton, is aiming to fundraise for Compton Care.

It will see him broadcast non-stop for 24 hours across the city – having previously taken on similar challenges, raising £3,000.

The 24-year-old, who is the resident DJ at the Gorgeous Nightclub in the city, said: "It isn't going to be easy – but in a time like this, it's so important we all support one another in whatever way we can."

The challenge will take place on May 25 from 10am with people being able to listen online at www.wcrfm.com.

Live studio cameras will monitor the challenge in the studio, with the presenter being joined by special guests in different locations to keep him going.

Listeners can donate by visiting JustGiving – with a target of £1,000 set for the Locked in for 24 Hours challenge.
