Palaye Royale play Wolverhampton show following Birmingham cancellation - in pictures
After their headline show at Birmingham's O2 Institute was cancelled, Canadian-American rockers Palaye Royale played an impromptu gig in Wolverhampton.
The group's Brum show was reportedly cancelled due to 'Palaye Royale being a risk to the audience', the band tweeted.
A statement from SeeTickets said: "The Palaye Royale concert scheduled to take place on Sunday 23 February at O2 Institute Birmingham has been cancelled on the grounds of public safety.
"The performance by Palaye Royale that was due to take place earlier this week in Glasgow was cancelled due to the band not agreeing to refrain from behaviour likely to create risk to audience safety.
"As a responsible venue operator, our main priority is the safety of audience members, artists and staff.
"While we whole-heartedly encourage artistic freedom, the decision to cancel the performance at O2 Institute Birmingham is regrettably unavoidable to prevent any further risk to the safety of all concerned."
The band tweeted the news saying that their 'hearts were broken' and were trying to find another venue for the show.
The group performed a full set at Wolverhampton's KKs Steel Mill.
Palaye Royale - made up of Remington Leath, Sebastian Danzig, Emerson Barrett, Daniel Curcio and Andrew Martin - posted: "Wow! Even despite the last minute venue/ city change 12 hours before doors you all are showing up.
"This makes our hearts so very happy. We thought no one would show."
