The event, held at the historic Bantock House Museum on Sunday September 29, showcased a whole host of retro goodies from decades gone by.

Sellers had a variety of items on offer, from classic records, to clothing and even a television from the 1960s.

Claire Pearson, organiser of the fair, said: "The 60s stuff is really in at the moment and the sales of vinyl have gone through the roof.

"You find a lot of people who got rid of their record players have bought newer ones, and even the kids are starting to get into vinyl.

"The television we had at the fair from the 60s was amazing, as it was quite expensive to buy at the time so not many people had one, so it's quite rare."

This is the fourth year the fair has been held at Bantock House and interest has been building with sellers coming from across the country.

Claire added: "90 percent of our sellers are local, but we've had one man here today from Chesterfield and another from Hampshire. It's great for everyone to come and support it.

"Considering the horrible weather, we did really well and all our stallholders were pleased with the great turnout."

As well as the vintage and vinyl stalls, there were also a number of homemade craft and gift sellers at the House.

When she's not running her own vintage shop at Halfpenny Green, Claire hosts the Vintage and vinyl fairs.

They are held four times a year, and the next one is being held on December 15.

The final fair of the year, which falls just before Christmas, will have a festive theme fit for the occasion and a host of items available for perfect presents.

Claire said: "Our Christmas fair always has a great atmosphere, we get the festive tunes on and everyone gets into the spirit.

"It's a great setting at Bantock House too and fits with the vintage theme. It's one of our lovely local historic buildings that sometimes isn't appreciated enough."
