Birmingham, Sandwell and Westside Festival returning with bumper line-up
Birmingham, Sandwell and Westside Jazz Festival will return this week for its 35th year.
The event will see 83 bands and solo performers over 10 days with 230 performance in 115 venues – and almost all of them free admission.
Highlights include sketch crawls, jitterbug dancing sessions, King Pleasure and The Biscuit Boys, ukulele workshops, a blues day and more.
Since its 1985 debut, the festival has generated £76 million and attracted a total audience in excess of 2.8 million people.
In 2017 the festival received The Lord Mayor’s Award, from Cllr Carl Rice 'in recognition of outstanding achievement and exceptional service to the City of Birmingham and its people through inspirational and dedicated work'.
Birmingham, Sandwell and Westside Jazz Festival will take place from July 19 to 28.
