The pupil was able to write the song with Mr Macee and music producer Akaali Inc through the school's work with MW Fitness & Community Care CIC.

Jess said: "It has been a pleasure working with the MW Team alongside Mr Macee. I feel extremely privileged to have had this opportunity and we are planning bigger and better things".

Hip-hop and rap artist Mr Macee added: "Giving back to the community and supporting young people is a passion of mine; to be able to do this working alongside MW and Akaali Inc for the collaboration with Jess and St Michaels has been hugely personal for me, music is my release and Jess has opened my eyes to my lyrical content. It is an honour to be a part of this movement."

Friends who helped to write the song, Madelaine Priest, Rosie Smith, Lucy Clifford and Mia-Darcy Garcha

Hollie Thompson, of MW Fitness & Community Care said: "Jess is a martyr for her generation, working with her talents and the positivity of the student voice has been incredibly impactful to the MW team, this song is a product of passion, that's a fact, and this is just the beginning."

Kerry Whitehouse, engagement development manager at the school, added: "We are always exploring creative approaches to educate young people on trending issues and strongly believe in success through partnership. As our events are student led, they provide a powerful platform for students wishing to share their thoughts and feelings.

"Music is such a powerful platform to raise awareness of various issues and we made a conscious decision to launch the single in the run up to Mental Health Awareness Week. This is such an important issue and we hope people support the single."

The track is currently available to download on all major music platforms including iTunes and Spotify.
