Wolverhampton ukulele band to perform at restaurant
A band of ukulele players will be taking over a restaurant while they entertain a group of trainee chefs.
Wolverhampton-based band The, Ukeing Wolves, are holding their annual anniversary meal on March 21 at the Academy restaurant for Wolverhampton college.
The band, which consists of ukulele players aged 17 - 70, will be tucking into a three-course meal prepared and served by college students who are studying for cookery and hospitality qualifications.
The group will play a selection of pop, blues, soul and traditional ukulele music throughout the evening.
Elizabeth Lee, hospitality tutor at the college, said: “This is the fourth time the group have joined us in the restaurant and it promises to be another entertaining evening of lively music performed by the diners and delicious food prepared by our students.”
The Ukeing Wolves meet every week and perform at fetes, shows, beer festivals and private functions to raise money for local charities.
