Orange Goblin to play new Wolverhampton venue
London heavy metal band Orange Goblin will play new Wolverhampton venue KK's Steel Mill.
Formed in 1995, the quartet emerged from the stoner rock explosion of the mid ‘90s, the band led the way for that scene on British shores, kicking off with classic debut album Frequencies From Planet Ten in 1997.
In 2015 the band undertook a 13-date 20th anniversary tour of the United Kingdom.
The following year singer Ben Ward received national media coverage in the UK for setting up a JustGiving campaign aiming to raise money for the staff of music publisher TeamRock who were laid off when the company went into administration.
The group was nominated for Best British Band at last year’s Metal Hammer Golden Gods ceremony, at which they also performed.
Orange Goblin will play KK's Steel Mill on February 8.
