Promoted by the Forestry Commision, Forest Live will see the mod musician play Cannock Chase in July.

Commenting on the new dates, Paul said, “The Forest shows are always great gigs for us and it’s been a while since I last did them so I’m really looking forward to them next year.”

Paul Weller made his Forest Live debut in 2004 and has played to sell-out crowds ever since, with his most recent appearances being in 2014.

The 60-year-old singer/songwriter achieved fame with bands such as The Jam and The Style Council, as well as releasing music as a solo artist.

He has received four Brit Awards, winning the award for Best British Male twice, and the 2006 Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.

Paul’s 26th album release True Meanings was released earlier this year, and entered the UK charts at number two.

Forest Live is a major outdoor live music series held every summer by Forestry Commission England in seven beautiful forests.

More than 1.75 million people have attended a forest gig in the last eighteen years. Money raised from ticket sales helps to look after the nation’s forests sustainably, for people to enjoy and wildlife to thrive.

Last year the Cannock Chase event saw shows from the likes of Paloma Faith, George Ezra and Paulk Heaton and Jacqui Abbott.

Paul Weller will play Cannock Chase as part of Forest Live on July 6.

Tickets go on same at 9am this Friday.
