Bloodstock Festival 2019: Children Of Bodom, Cradle Of Filth, Soilwork and more announced to play three-day metal event
Six more bands have been announced to join Sabaton on the Bloodstock Festival 2019 bill.
Children Of Bodom, Cradle Of Filth, Soilwork, Dee Snider, Queensryche and Hypocrisy will appear across the three-day festival, which takes place at Catton Park.
Best known for songs Kissing the Shadows, Angels Don't Kill, Needled 24/7 and Everytime I Die, Children Of Bodom will appear on the Friday of the festival on the Ronnie James Dio main stage in a UK exclusive performance.
The Finnish quintet recently enteredDanger Johnny Studios with producer Mikko Karmila earlier this year to work on a new studio album, due for release in 2019, following 2015’s I Worship Chaos.
Formed in Suffolk in 1991, Cradle Of Filth are best known for hit songs The Death of Love, Nymphetamine Fix, and Her Ghost in the Fog as well as their cover of Haven 17's Temptation.
Talking ahead of the festival, where they will appear on the Saturday, vocalist Dani Filth said: “Obviously we want to finish what we started ten years ago, that is to finish our set.
"And for that alone we are really, really looking forward to bringing a massive Cradle show back to the Bloodstock fans.”
Swedish metallers Soilwork will play the Sunday of the event in another UK festival exclusive.
The sextet are currently hard at work in the studio brewing their eleventh studio album and the follow up to 2015’s acclaimed The Ride Majestic.
Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider will also appear on Sunday, following the release of his recent solo album For The Love Of Metal.
The final day of the event will also see performances from Todd La Torre-fronted Queensryche, as well as metal icons Hypocrisy.
Bloodstock will take place at Catton Park from August 8 to 11.
