Feel like dancing? Leo Sayer does after his Bilston power nap!
A power nap before hitting the stage in Wolverhampton is the secret to Leo Sayer still feeling like dancing at the age of 70.
The chart-topping musician was in the Black Country this weekend as he entertained fans at the Robin 2 in Bilston on Friday.
The Grammy award-winner is known all over the world for his hits, from Thunder In My Heart and Moonlighting, to When I Need You and You Make Me Feel Like Dancing.
Leo, whose real name is Gerard, is now an Australian citizen. His career first started in 1972 and he released his 14th studio album in 2015.
He is back in Britain for a short tour with his Robin 2 concert forming part of the Birmingham, Solihull and Sandwell Jazz Festival.
Leo was supported at his show on Friday by Dan Whitehouse, whose songs have been described as ‘Black Country Soul’.
But merely hours before his headline set at the Bilston venue on Friday, Leo was preparing for his legendary performance by taking a well-earned power nap – after hours on the road during his latest series of shows.
A short while later the singer took to the stage, delighting his fans with a trip down memory lane with performances of all his legendary, classic hits.
