The Wolverhampton soul icon will perform with the iconic group at the O2 Arena on Thursday for new show Celebrating Prince.

The show marks 11 years since both Beverley and NPG were celebrating a 21-night residency at the venue as part of the iconic Earth Tour.

Speaking about the renowned 2007 tour, Beverley said that: "Prince and his band, the NPG, ripped the stage.

"From the glorious openers, Let's Go Crazy and 1999, to the nu-school funk of Musicology, it turned into an almighty jam".

This announcement comes after Beverly recently performed at a dinner attended by Michelle Obama.

Other guests in attendance at the event with the former First Lady included Rob Brydon, Judy Murray, Mark Beaumont, and Scottish band Deacon Blue.

Celebrating Prince will see Beverley and NPG perform iconic songs from the music icon's extensive career.

The show and the reunion of the most original members of NPG was born out of feedback from the fans after the official Prince Tribute concert in Minnesota in 2016.

The longest-running member of NPG, keyboardist Morris Hayes, who also served as Prince's Musical Director for many years, brought back the original band members for the musical celebration.

Soon after the event, the band reunited, along with other guest musicians, singers and artists to create Celebrate Prince.
