Wolverhampton blues artist Rebecca Downes wins national award
Wolverhampton-born singer Rebecca Downes has won a national award.
She was announced as winner of the UK Blues Federation's female vocalist of the year at Worthing on Saturday.
The singer from Finchfield was one of five finalists and topped the public online vote to win.
She will be presented with the award at her concert in Harlington, Fleet, Hampshire, on June 1.
Rebecca, who is now based in Birmingham, previously won best female vocalist at the British Blues Awards in 2016.
The former Smestow High School pupil played what was scheduled to be her only home town show of the year at The Slade Rooms in the city centre on Friday.
She is due to release her third studio album later this year.
