Stone Broken, Ain't Always Easy - album review
If you’re ready to rock you’re ready for Walsall’s Stone Broken.
The quartet’s post-grunge melodic metal fully realises its potential on their second studio album, released May 15.
Opening strongly with Worth Fighting For, this class act could even escape the genre ghetto with such radio friendly tracks as I Believe and The Only Thing I Need, both positive and hopeful songs in the notoriously dark world of hard rock.
But they don’t dodge issues, Heartbeat Away is about bullying and domestic violence.
Big ballads Home and Anyone also show what a fine singer lyricist and frontman Rich Moss has become.
Stone Broken have sold out their Birmingham O2 Institute 2 gig on May 19.
