Stafford Schools Gotta Sing: Hundreds of youngsters take part in rescheduled show
More than 250 young people took part in an all-singing show at Stafford Gatehouse.
The youngsters from seven schools were joined by a number of soloists at the town centre show which attracted a 'full house', say organisers.
Stafford Schools Gotta Sing took place at the Eastgate Street venue last night - and will again this evening - after being rescheduled due to snow back in February. The first show took place on March 28, but freezing conditions meant the two set to follow were moved to this week.
Schools which took part in yesterday's show were Flash Ley Community Primary, Blessed Mother Teresa's Catholic Primary, Cooper Perry Primary and Veritas Primary Academy School and Nursery - all from Stafford, Manor Hill First School from Stone, Littleton Green Community School from Cannock, and St John's C Of E Primary School from Wetley Rocks near Cheddleton.
Stafford Schools Gotta Sing was put together by SSPA events and organiser for the firm, Stephen Glover, described the show as 'a fabulous night'.
"So many talented young people took part," said Stephen.
"More than 250 young people participated in the action-packed show.
"The audience was engaged from start to finish and the schools were so proud of their pupils."
Those set to take part in this evening's event are Stafford schools Barnfields Primary School, John Wheeldon Primary Academy, All Saints CE (VC) First School, and Saint Patrick's Catholic Primary School. They will be joined by Total Stars Stage Group from Lichfield and Friarswood Primary School from Newscastle-Under-Lyme.
The show will start at 7pm and tickets cost £13.50.
